Hey guys,here was something I want to share with u guys,
how to use the easy technique to draw like a PRO,erm....actually not that PRO lar~
just a work that can hand in for lec and minimum can get a "B-" I think,
So~talk about choosing the refrence,you should choose your favorite 1,
for me,my favorite 1 always be Obama,Oh~I love him~ XD
OK enought for talking cock~Start from HB pencil~
-Firstly,draw a circle,here I'm still the most basic way that the lec teached,
ok back to the circle,don't be too big or too small,and don't draw totaly on the middle of the paper,
the circle was just the upper part of the head,so the circle must get higher.
-After the circle,draw a cross,the horizontal line should be placing on the eyebrow,
and the vertical line should be crossing the middle part of the lips.
-Starting from the third step,a thing that you guys must must must must keep doing it,
keep changing your view point from your photo to your art work,and from your art work to yout photo,
this is for u guys to draw the form correctly,perfectly~~
So draw the eyebrow on the horizontal line,and so on the nose and the mouth,
all the thing that you draw must be simple,so just use the straight line to combine to the shape,
remember keep changing your view point,judge from any way every way,
how wide was the mouth??Is it wider then the eyebrow?
how wide was the nose??Is it wide until the middle of the eye?or less?
Normaly lot of people will did a mistake,the space of the nose and mouth too wide,look-out!
you can simply shade the eyebrow to notic that it was an eyebrow,not an eyes~
-Next step,draw the eyes,same!simple line to form it and keep judging!!
common mistake,the wide of the 2 eye,look-out!!
other the eyes,draw other darkest part,also using the simple line,
it is always necessary to change the part that you find out is not that accurate (when you are still using HB)
-OK next part will be a little bit harder,you might make alot of mistake here but nevermind,keep correct it,
all the arrow is the part that I made a mistake,you can keep it but you have to make a note that it was a wrong part,
no need to erase it,just wasting your time,change when you use the darker pencil.
this step you shall draw the shape of your figure,start from drawing a short horizontal line for the chin,
jude the wide between the facial and the outer line,
you can also judge by the angle,my fore head make alot of mistake because I din't judge the angle in the first place.
Still!!!correct the mistake that you find out after!!!!judge judge judge judge!!!!!!and still using the simple line!!!
simply shade out the dark part and darkest part,you must distinguish the dark part and the darkest part,
if you don't it just look like a mess!!
your strokes must be confident,it is a must!! If you don't have that confident to stroke a long line,
atless a short line,like mine.
use some simple line to draw out the out line of the body,it help on the judging part too.
-After all this proportion,now we can change our pencil from HB to 3B above (sharpen),I recommended 8B.
Changing pencil just wasting your time,if you want to diffrent your toning,just control your strength.
Still,necessary to chang your mistake on this part,eyebrow not thick enought or mouth too wide,
Remember,still using simple line to form,this time the line can be curve and shorter,
other then eyebrow,the scetch that I drew was the mistake that I changed,
if each picture that I post was a step,the mistake of proportion should't be that obvious,
because it was alot of chances to let you change it.
-Next was the eyes,simple line!!!think it as a simple line!!!!1 line by 1 line!!!
in this guid everything was simple,don't think it too complicated,that's why i said this is an easy way!!!
use the space between eyes ans eyebrow to make it in same level.
-Now give the upper lip the thicknes and shade it,and roughly draw out the thicknes of 2 side of lower lip,
normaly the lower lip's toning was similar with you skin colour,so just leave it as the HB pencil line.
roughly touch on the darkest part close to the mouth,and shade the darkest part under the nose,
rememder don't lack off the toning of the philtrum (人中，鼻子以下凹进去的部分).
-Now we may starting to use a blunt pencil,don't be too blunt!
Find the shortest strokes that you can handel,sketch it softer and softer~
remember!the strokes must be 1 side to the other,no reverse and no joining!
control your strenghtand be confident.
-For the eyes,same,shortest line you can handel,better if it is distorted.
and you can also roughtly shade the close part of eyes,make all the shading part by part.
for the nose,shade lightly accroding to its shape,the eye drop shape~
-After the simple shading to hold the form of it,we can rub off some HB pencil stroke,
the fore head part,the middle of the node part,the chin part,and the teeth part (if have).
this few part can hardly use the shadow to cover it,so we just can rub it of,
USING PATTY RUBBER!!!LIGHTLY!!!!SLOWLY!!!!!!!
the patty rubber don't be too big,just a small pinch already enought.
-Try to see the whole face as few part,finish it part by part,
and remember DON'T draw out the line to saprade it like what I did,I'm just trying to let you know.
but you can draw the out line,it is ok.
you may also rub off the mistaked part outside of the figure,inside just leave it,it may cover by the shading.
-Roughtly shade the dark part and the darkest part,don't make it too dark,
it is just a way to let you roughtly know the light and dark part.
and also draw out the innder line of the ears,using simple line.
-Start from now you can choose any way that you like to shade first,
I'm starting from the wrinkles(皱纹),start from directly draw the darkest colour on the wrinkle.
In between two wrinkles,the skin should have tone changing,so shade it following the way that the wrinkle go.
from dark tone slowly chang to the light tone.
-For chin,it might have tone changing too,same,follow the shape of the chin to shade,
slowly from dark turn to light.The lower lip should shade according the contour line,
you can leave white for the highlight or just rub it off after finish shading,
about the shading of the chin,rub out the highlight after you done your shading,it will be easier.
-Go to the cheek,same,following the contour line from dark to light,after that rub out some highlight SMOOTHLY!!
You can always shade some part that you find out was finished but not dark enought.
Few thing I should recommend u guys,the way of shading:
>If it is a toning part such as dark to light,follow the shape of the part.
>If it is a same toning part,mean don't have any tone changing,
following the contour line or the shortest line you can handel.
-For the temple(太阳穴) part,if your figure was a normal young men with not much uneven on his temple,
try to use 2 to 3 time of shading to make the toning,long to short,
if your figure was a pretty lady with no uneven on her temple,use 1 to 2 time of shading,
if yours was a old man like mine,you can shade 1 time with long stroke,and few time with short stroke.
About the crow's feet(鱼尾纹),start same as the wrinkle,because it is a wrinkle!!
after draw the crow's feet line,rud out the highlight on the part between two crow's feet,
that's the normal way all the crow's feet look like.
-After the temple,now to the fore head,find out where was the middel tone part and shade it,
use the same stroke with the darker part,smoothly shade it,
don't forgot the upper part of the eyebrow and between the eyebrow!!!
after you finish,rub of the edge of it,it make a feather effect and tone changing too.
-So on was the lightest part,not white but still light,same,find out the shape,shade it.
after shade it,don't rub the edge!!touch the edge uding the patty rubber,lightly~~
then add up the darker part~
-For Obama head....I don't think I need to guide anything....if not round enought then make it round.
-For the ear,firstly just shade it all to the same tone,then add on the darker part,
after that rub out the highlight and touch again the dark part.
-If your figure had show their teeth,dtart it from gingival(牙龈) and hole,then tone the teeth,carefully~~lightly~~
OK!!Done!!wait a minut......
OK now relly done!!until the end you should't stop judging,I touch on some detial in it,
some more I add on the place that not dark enought,because I still judging in the end and I find out,
after finish the face,try to simply shade the cloth or body,and clean the dirty part outside,
and Va Lar~ a master piece~~
